Mr. Charles R. Haight died Saturday at his home, 926 E street northwest, this city, after a long illness. Mr. Haight was employed for many years in the bureau of engraving and printing, and was at one time assistant superintendent of the plate printing department. He was subsequently superintendent of a bank note company in New York, which position he held until he retired from business four years ago. Funeral services were held at his residence this afternoon, and his remains were interred at Arlington. Mr. Haight had served in the 17th Pennsylvania Regiment during the civil war.
