Nevina Marie Carter, wife of Henry White Carter Jr of 1427 S. 28th St., Arlington, VA, father of Henry White Carter III of Rockville, MD, Mrs. Lillian May Carter Shaw of Alexandria, VA, sister of Adreanna Granai Ciresoli of Barre, VT, Mrs. Anita Granai Rinaldi of Washington, DC, Mrs. Martha Granai Ford of Danbury, NH, Mrs. Margaret Granai Crawford of Lancaster, NH, Constantino Granai of Brooklyn, NY, Cornelius Granai of Barre, VT, Leonello Granai of Richmond, VA, George and Joseph Granai of Burlington, VT. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Cheryl D. Carter of Rockville, MD. Friends may call the Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 W. Braddock Rd. Alexandria, VA until 9AM Wednesday, November 23, 1960. Services will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 125 N. Columbus St., Alexandria, VA at 9:45AM Wednesday. Interment Arlington National Cemetery.

Nevina is also survived by her granddaughter, Nevina Darlene Shaw, of Alexandria, VA and Las Vegas, NV who was born after Nevina Granai Carter's death.

Metastatic breast cancer ravaged Nevina's body. Pancreatic cancer also claimed her son, Henry Carter, III in 2010 and her son-in-law, Travis Glynn Shaw in 2007.
