Rita M. Ear, 82, of Hernando, FL passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at the Life Care Center in Lecanto, FL. Rita was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, on November 13, 1927, the daughter of Louis and Emma Brisson. She traveled in the USA until settling in Wyandotte, MI. She received her master's degree and was a middle school teacher. She moved to Hernando in 1980 from Wyandotte, MI. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness and was a member of the Third Order of the Carmelite.
Rita was preceded in death by her son, John Ear in 2007. Survivors include her two daughters, Francine Mullen (Marty) of London, Ontario, and Therese Burnett (Jeff) of Beverly Hills, FL; three sons, Paul Ear (Becky) of Lecanto, FL, Frank Ear, Jr. of Hernando, FL, and Joseph Ear (Michelle) of Inverness, FL; two sisters, Eulene McGuinness of Windsor, Ontario and Sister Jane Dolores of London, Ontario; two brothers, Dr. John Brisson of Sarasota, FL, and Dr. Dennis Brisson of Windsor, Ontario; fourteen grandchildren, Nicole, Ann Marie, Paul and Monica Mullen; Blaire and Sean Ear; Joseph, Natalie, Michael and Adrienne Burnett; Jonathan, Julie, Jaclyn and Jenifer Ear; and eight great-grandchildren, Devon, Sarah, Annaliese, Leanndra, Kaileyanne, Melissa Rose, Breann and Braelynn.
Visitation for Mrs. Ear will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 7, 2010, at the Heinz Funeral Home in Inverness. Vigil service at 3:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 8, 2010, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness.
