ALLENDALE – (Special) – Harold Wille Deer, 54, died at 2 a.m. Saturday at his home near Sycamore after several years of declining health.
Mr. Deer was son of Mrs. Amie Lynes Deer of Sycamore and the late Benjamin Franklin Deer. He was a member of the Sycamore Baptist Church and was a past deacon of that church. He was born and reared in Allendale County, having lived all his life on the Deer plantation where he farmed and trucked until his retirement several years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Beatrice Kearse Deer of the home; a daughter, Mrs. J. D. Barnes of the Sycamore community; one grandson, Danny Barnes; his mother, Mrs. Amie Lynes Deer; three sisters, Mrs. Aletha Carter and Mrs. Marjorie Osborn of Atlanta and Mrs. Mary Hales of Dallas, Texas.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted in the Fairfax Cemetery, Fairfax at 3:30 Sunday afternoon by O. S. Ulmer of Brunson, assisted by J. W. Middleton of Elloree.
