Ira T. Haragan, 74, a Dodson resident since 1925, died in Hollis Memorial Hospital, Sept. 22. Mr. Haragan was a retired ginner, and later in life was custodian of the Dodson School for a number of years. Born at Farmersville, Jan. 31, 1895, he was the son of the late Joe C. and Hannah Tennon Haragan. He was married to Miss Jessie Cassity on Dec. 3, 1916, at Carter, Okla. She preceded him in death February 22, 1967.
Survivors are Mrs. Thurman Crownover of Dodson; a son, Dewey Haragan of Sudan; three brothers and three sisters: Willie Haragan of Oklahoma City; Jim Haragan of Portales, N.M.; Hardy Haragan of Yuma, Ariz.; Mrs. Minnie Busby and Mrs. Ethel Cox of Roswell, N.M.; and Mrs. Effie Lawson of Woodville, Calif. There are three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
