George Franklin "Frank" Alexander was the son of John H Alexander and Dice Cox, residents of Benton County, Missouri. Frank's brothers and sisters were Mary A, Ida, Elsa, John L, Temp ? (f), Murtie, Geb, and Wallace. They were raised in Alexander Township, Benton County Missouri. John Alexnader was a farmer.

Frank married 1/ Stella Mae Eoff, the daughter of John Turner Eoff and Anna Maria Thomas, natives of Missouri. Frank and Stella were married May 2, 1889 in Benton County. They were the parents of Birchie Clyde Alexander and Edna (Alexander) Holley. Stella died in 1895. The children lived with their father and his new wife for a time but later were living with their maternal grandparents and were raised by them in Benton County.

Frank married 2/ Nancy Elizabeth "Lizzie" Amblin (Anglin?), per death certificate of son, Haywood Alexander. Frank and Nancy were married about 1898. They were the parents of Earl, Julia, Roy, Haywood (d. age 16), Leann, Lucile, Ruby and George N Alexander. Frank and Lizzie moved after 1930 to Henry County, Missouri and farmed there.
