"Noel Barber was a millwright, carpenter, architect and master builder. He is thought to have built every covered bridge crossing the Hoosic River between North Adams and Hoosic Falls. Noel built the Pownal Methodist Episcopal Church (1844). He also built the famous Oak Grove Seminary (1853) which latter became known as the Oak Hill School and still stands today." See pownal.org
