William H. Starr, president of the J. O. Starr and Son Harness company, died at the family residence, 335 West
Main street, at 1:35 o'clock, Monday afternoon. Death was due to Bright's disease from which he had been suffering
for some months. Mr Starr had been unconscious for

night that he would die at that time, but he hung to life by a thread until Monday afternoon. Mr Starr had been confined to his bed for two weeks. He had been failing
for over a year, but his first serious attack came just after Christmas. His death was caused by Bright's disease.
During the past few days his condition had shown a little improvement and there were hopes that he would again
be able to be up and around. He began sinking at 5 o'clock Sunday afternoon and grew steadily weaker. Mr Starr is survived his his wife and the following children: Mrs. Harold Wiley, Charles A. Starr, Will C. Starr of Decatur; Baldwin Starr of Los Angles, Cal, and Miss Esther Starr of
Decatur. There are also seven grandchildren. All the members of his family were at his bedside.
