Dollie Adams Baker, 84, of Clinchco, died Friday, December 30, 2005 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN.
Born in Pike County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Creed and Ethel Bartley Adams. She was a homemaker and was of the Old Regular Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arson Baker, July 6, 1988; two daughters, Merlene Baker and Ethel Mae Coleman; one son, Landon Baker; one sister, Dorothy Bentley; and five brothers, Basil, Ben, Earl, Dock and Carl Adams.
She is survived by two daughters, Lorena Harrison and Reba (Carrol) Woods, all of Clinchco; three sons, Eddie Earl (Linda) Baker of Clinchco; Alfred Lee (Jane) Baker of Clintwood and Ervin (Cathy) Baker of West Land, MD; one son-in-law, James Coleman of Hammons, IN; one sister, Daisy Lee Coleman of Kemper, KY; one brother, Jackie Adams of Jacksonville, FL; 20 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday, January 2, 2006 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders A.L. Yates officiating. Burial followed in the Viers Cemetery at Clinchco.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
Haysi Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
