Parra: Funeral services were held this morning for Alberto T. Parra, 77, a resident of Central, who passed away Saturday. He was a member of the Santa Clara Catholic Church and had retired from Chino Mines as a heavy equipment operator. Mr. Parra is survived by his wife, Aurora, of Carson, Calif.; three daughters, Virginia Beach and her husband, Tim, of Alta Loma, Calif., Dolores Fitzpatrick of Simi Valley, Calif., and Sylvia Parra of Costa Mesa, Calif.; two sons, Robert Parra and Fred Parra, both of Carson; three sisters, Sarah McDonald of Albuquerque, Severa Garcia of Central, and Margaret Gallegos of Los Angeles; one brother, Lorenzo Parra and his wife, Joan, of Aloha, Ore.; and two grandchildren. Mass of the Christian burial was held in the Santa Clara Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with interment following in the Central cemetery. The Rev. Melchor Dano was celebrant. Serving as pallbearers were Robert Parra, Fred Parra, Sam Garcia, Richard Trujillo, Alfred Avalos and Raul Sepulveda. Arrangements were by the Wheeler Funeral Home.
