Mr. Roy A. Termunde, Rothbury. Roy A. Termunde, age 79 of Rothbury, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2005 at home. He was born July 14, 1926 in Blue Island, Illinois, the son of William and Josephine (Baker) Termunde. He was a World War II Army veteran.
Roy worked at the Signode Steel in Illinois for many years. He came to Rothbury in 1980 when he married Mary (Smith) Hopkins. He was employed at Haworth in Holland until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Mary; his stepchildren, Regina (David) Sill of Shelby, Shelly (Laurie) Hopkins of DeRidder, Louisiana, Alan (Denise) Hopkins of Hart and Brenda (Keith) Walsworth of Kingsport, Tennessee; his brother, Richard Termunde of Lombard, Illinois; twenty-one grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur "Skip" Termunde and Robert Termunde and his sister, June Sherpan. The funeral service for Mr. Termunde was held Wednesday, August 10, 11 a.m., at Rothbury Community Church with Pastor Roger Rose officiating. Interment was in Oakgrove Cemetery, Rothbury.
