Goldia J. Boyd, 87, of Arcola died at 10:20 p.m. Thursday (April 14, 2005) at Tuscola Health Care, Tuscola.

Mrs. Boyd was born Oct. 28, 1917, in Avena, a daughter of Ross T. and Gladys S. Townsend Dial . She married Glenn L. Boyd on Feb. 5, 1938, in St. Louis. He died Dec. 31, 2003.

Survivors include four daughters, Juanita Parrott of Arthur, Karen Schultz of Tuscola, Phyllis Baker of Pryor, Okla., and Becky Hausmann of Wagoner, Okla.; a son, Mac Boyd of Arcola; 12 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a granddaughter, a brother and three sisters.

Mrs. Boyd was a member of Bourbon Baptist Church for more than 60 years. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, quilting and gardening.

Memorials may be made to the Gwen Marie Boyd Memorial Scholarship Fund, in care of The Arcola Foundation; or to the church.
