David was born to Charles and Hettie Allen in Indiana. Moved to Oregon as a small boy in 1840. Diana was born to Washington and Chole Patterson in Ill. Move to Oregon as a young girl.
David married Diana and farmed in Polk Co. Oregon. They had six children: Rebecca, Owen, Charles, Clara, Hettie and Lincoln.
In 1865, David and Diana sold their farm David's father and moved with 5 children to Pioneer, Eastland Co. TX where they continued to farm. Two more children were born there, Mary and Christine.
David died October 21, 1900.
