SOPHIA – Bertie Skeen Nelson, 89, of Nelson Road, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at her residence.
The funeral was held Jan. 1, 2008, at Popular Ridge Friends Meeting with Pastor Randall A. Quate officiating. Burial was in Popular Ridge Friends cemetery.
She was a native of Randolph County, the widow of W. Allen Nelson, a graduate of Trinity High School, co-founder of Nelson Frames Inc., member of Popular Ridge Friends Meeting and a volunteer with Randolph County Meals on Wheels.
Surviving are her daughter, Audrey Toth of Sophia; sons, R. Keith Nelson and Norman O. Nelson, both of Sophia; sister, Radie Kennedy of Trinity; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
