Minden Dairyman
Called by Death

Funeral services for Mr. Douglas D. Lunsford, well-known dairyman of Minden, aged 56, who died Monday afternoon at 5:15 in the local sanitarium, were held this afternoon at 4:00 o'clock at the family residence on the Lewisville Road.

Mr. Lunsford, who has been a resident of Minden all his life, is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lula Mae Lunsford; two sons, Ambrose and Durwood, Minden; eight daughters, Mrs. Callie Mae Campbell of Shreveport, and the Misses Carolyn, Daisy Emma, Douglas, Hazel, Helen, Mary and Nellie, all of Minden; four brothers, G.M., W.R., C.E., of Minden, and C.C., of Shreveport; and two sisters, Mrs. O.B. Mooreland of Sweetwater, Texas, and Mrs. S.S. Moreland, of Homer, Louisiana.

The Rev. N.E. Joyner officiated at the services. Interment was made in the Minden cemetery, under the direction of Dennis Funeral Home.

Mr. Lunsford, operator of the Lunsford Dairy, had been in ill health for a year or more, and was taken to the local hospital Monday, when he became seriously ill.
