PAINTER, MARVIN LEE, 65, died at his home in Stanley at 5:30 p. m. Tuesday, August 24th, 1948. He had been in ill health for many years. Born on March 6, 1883, the deceased was a son of the late John Morgan and Sarah Lee Painter. His wife, the former Miss Lula Smith of Ohio survives him with three sons: Marvin L. Painter of Washington, DC., Virgil L. and John R. Painter of Baltimore, Md. He also leaves the following brothers and sisters: James, Lloyd and Cletus Painter, Mrs. Virgil Sours, Mrs. Dessie Wilson and Mrs. Effie Good all of the Stanley community. Burial will take place in the Adventist Cemetery. (PNC)
