Minnie S. McFarland
Minnie Sophia Livingston was born August 21, 1872 in Fulton County, Illinois and died Dec. 20, 1960 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. T.[homas] A. Scott [Ruby] at Knoxville, Iowa, at the age of 88 years. She came to Iowa with her family at an early age and they settled in Page County near Clarinda.
She was united in marriage to John William McFarland on Sept. 7, 1892. Most of their married life was spent at Gravity and Blanchard.
Preceding her in death were her husband; one daughter Vera [Louise], Mrs. [Lloyd] Darrel Reed; and two great grandchildren.
Surviving are Mrs. T. [homas] A. Scott [Ruby] of Knoxville, Mrs. Nerine Green of Sun City, Ariz., Mrs. W. [illiam] R. [ay] Brookman [Maude] of Clarinda, Mrs. Dan Leonard [Lona] of Corning, C. [laude] W. McFarland of Sun City, Ariz, and one brother, Henry Livingston of Clearmont, Mo.; also 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Dec. 22, 1960 from the Roland Funeral Home in Corning with Rev. Brown Garlock officiating. Burial was in the Gravity cemetery.
