Walter C. Keeler died at 5 o'clock Friday morning at the sanitarium in Kankakee where he had been for some time. He had been an invalid for several years.
Mrs. Keeler was born in Danville July 22, 1869 but came to Decatur when he was two years old and had made this his home almost all his life. For many years, he was connected with the Warren and Durfee insurance office.
He leaves a son,Roby Keeler, his father, S.T. Keeler of Decatur, six sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Currie Hostetler, Mrs. W.J. Brown, Miss Gertrude Keeler, Henry Keeler and E.S.Keeler, all of Decatur and Mrs. W.S. Hunter, Miss Alice H. Keeler and Miss Mary J. Keeler, all of Chicago.
The brother, E.S. Keeler, went to Kankakee Friday to bring the body back to Decatur for burial. It will be taken to the Monson & Wilcox undertaking parlors. The funeral arrangements are not yet made.
