Apollos Allen was the son of Noah Allen and Ruth Martindale Allen. He was married to Deborah Pardy (Pardee) in 1780 in Greenfield. He came with his family to settle in what became Smyrna village in 1798. They were the parents of 9 children: Levina (Ladd), Nathaniel Pardy, Amanda Jerusha (Morley), Apollos (died young) , Marsena, Willard, Arvell, Chester and Ruth (Sweet).
