Jean was born in Birmingham, Alabama, but moved with the family to Miami, Florida in 1944. She attended Miami Jackson High School where she met her husband, Laverne. They were married in 1947 at Stanton Memorial Baptist Church in Miami. She is the mother of four children, David Laverne Tweedle, Stephen Lavel Tweedle, Carol Jean Whitaker and John Allen Tweedle. She retired with her family to Belleview, Florida in 1976 and spent her remaining years there. She still remains in our hearts and memories.
