Ernest Bebow, 75, of Alma, died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 1997 in Ann Arbor.

Funeral services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Dewey Funeral Home in Ithaca with the Rev. Rob Woolsley officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Louis.

Ernest was born Feb. 5, 1921 in St. Louis to Fred and Daisy (Sly) Bebow. He married Melba Oakes on Feb. 7. 1942 in St. Louis.

Ernest worked as a farmer his whole life. He enjoyed his grandchildren and his two great-grandsons.

He is survived by his wife, Melba Bebow of Alma; son, Ernest (Nancy) Bebow Jr. of Alma; grandson Jeff (Keelee) Bebow of Alma; granddaughter, Deanna Bebow of Grand Rapids; two great-grandsons, Brent and Tucker Bebow of Alma; and two brothers, Everett and Earl Bebow of Houghton Lake.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Bebow.
