Mining Man Is Summoned By The Reaper
Judge A. E. McGill Passes Away Yesterday At The United Mines Company Camp At Congress
(From Saturday's Daily)
Brief announcement was received in this city yesterday forenoon of the death at the United Mines Company camp at Congress, of A. E. McGill, but no particulars were given of the cause.
The deceased was Justice of the Peace of that precinct, and a brother-in-law of D. J. Sullivan, president of the United. Mr. McGill was also a large shareholder in the company, and came from Chicago several years ago to familiarize himself with the operating of the property, continuing to remain.
He was a man of splendid personality, and friends importuned with him last fall to seek the office to which he was elected.
The remains are to be brought to Prescott and will be prepared for burial by Lester Ruffner. It is probable the body will be shipped to Chicago, where the relatives reside.
The death of Mr. McGill has occasioned expressions of sorrow from many friends in Prescott where he was well known and very popular.
