Sarah Lewis 87 of Glasgow died Sunday, February 28, 2010 at her residence. born in Barren County she was the daughter of the late Henry and Emily Ethel Chapman Byrd and the wife of the late James A. Lewis. Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker and member of the Mt Tabor Baptist Church.

Survivors include 1 son James L Lewis (Theresa) of Glasgow; 2 daughters Patricia Smith (Larry) of Glasgow, Mary Lois Emmitt (Walter) Edinburg, IN; Grandchildren Jimmy (Tracy) Smith,Tim (Melissa) Smith, Ricky (Carla) Emmitt, Russell (Angie) Emmitt, Randy (LeAnn) Emmitt, Renee (Fabian) Mathis, Vicky (Chris) Turner, Teresa Brown, Ricky Lewis, Angie (Preston) Hicks, Jim Bob Hicks, Katerah (Randy) Martin; great grandchildren Emmily Martin, Jacob Martin Hannah Smith, Jacob Smith and mother Delores, Holly Smith, Heather Smith, Chad Emmitt, Jeremy (Angie) Emmitt, Logan Emmitt, Thomas Emmitt, Samantha Emmitt, Chelsea Fabian, Ashley (Marris) Molden, Christopher Holman, Joey Brown, Christopher Hicks, James Hicks, Julia Hicks; great great grandchildren Jayce Emmitt and Madison Taylor; also several nieces and nephews also surive.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 1 daughter Thelma Jean Lewis, 1 brother Doc Barrett, 2 sisters Lois Goad and Thelma Furlong.

Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Chapman Cemetery.
