Paul Edward Hyson Sr., 70, North Port and formerly of Port Charlotte, died Sept. 9, 2002. He was born Dec. 6, 1931, in Tuckahoe, N.J., and came to North Port two years ago from Port Charlotte, where he moved in 1985 from Port Elizabeth, N.J. He retired in 1985 as a heavy equipment operator for the N.J. Sicicso Sand Plant. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10476. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Margaret J.; daughters Diane Felicano of Cape May Court House, N.J., and Gail of Port Charlotte; sons Paul Jr. of Port Charlotte, and Thomas of Millville, N.J.; a sister, Rose of Englewood; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, with a service to follow, at Englewood Community Funeral Home. Services and burial will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 21475, St. Petersburg, FL 33742.
