Grandma Millis as she was familiarly called died at the home of her son, William E. Millis, of Orange Township last Friday morning at six o'clock. She had a stroke of paralysis Friday morning, one week before her death and gradually sank from that until the end came as noted above.

Mrs. Millis maiden name was Sallie Spraker. She was born in Virginia and grew to womanhood in that state and there became the wife of Joseph Millis. Over fifty years ago with her husband, she moved to Indiana and some time in the fifties they came to Illinois and settled on a farm a quarter of a mile east of Wesley Chapel in Orange Township which was ever after there home.

Her husband died a few years ago and she has since made her home with her son William.

Mrs. Millis was 86 years old. In early life she became a member of the Methodist church and has always lived a life consistent with her profession. She was a kind neighbor, a loving wife, a fond mother. She had four children. One died in infancy, she gave one son to her country during the rebellion and one son and one daughter survive her.

The funeral was held at Wesley Chapel Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. Hobart officiating.
