Sophia M. Henschler, 95, Janesville, died Saturday, February 27, 2010, at her home surrounded by her family. Sophie was born on July 28, 1914, in Blue Island, IL. She was the daughter of John and Mary Marcus Jablonski. She married Raymond Henschler on March 20, 1935. They lived in the Chicago area until 1955, when they moved to Delavan and began dairy farming. They then moved to Jefferson, where they milked a herd of registered Holstein dairy cows until retiring in 1972. Sophie has lived in La Prairie Township since 1985 and was a member of the Rock County Homemakers. She was an active member of St. Stephen's Church in Clinton. She always looked forward to coffee klatches with her friends. Sophie was famous for her artistry in the kitchen, especially her wonderful pies and homemade bread. Sophie was proud of her large and loving family.
