She was born to the late Tom and Clara Hanson on Dec. 20, 1921 in Oklahoma. She married the late Willis Earl Beesinger of Lubbock in 1942. They were married for 33 years before his death in 1975. Connie was a member of Southcrest Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her son, David Beesinger, MD of College Station, Texas.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Patrick of Lake Holly Ranch, Texas, Peggy Poe of San Antonio and Connie Slone of Lubbock; six grandchildren, Lane Stanfield and Angela Leath of Irving, Rachel Beesinger of Houston, Randall Slone of Hickory Creek, D. J. Poe of Austin, Jason Beesinger and Kate Beesinger of College Station; one great-grandson; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends and family will celebrate her life of 88 years at 3 p.m. today, March 2, 2010 at the Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, followed by a committal service at Resthaven Memorial Park.
