Funeral services for Florence Pender Hudson, 84, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Barrett of Graham and the pastor, Rev. Wayne Shuffield, officiating. She died March 6, in a local nursing home.

Born March 11, 1905, in Hillsboro, she was married to John E. Fender December 6, 1926, in Proffitt. He preceded her in death in 1948. A long time Olney resident, she worked as secretary to the Olney Chamber of Commerce for years and was Young County Deputy Tax Collector for 19 years. As a past member of the Business and Professional Women's Club, she was recognized in 1972 as Business Woman of the Year. She served two years as president of that organization.

She was married January 17,1977, to C J. Hudson in Floydada. She lived in Crosbyton until his death in 1985, when she returned to Olney.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Olney and its Dorcas Sunday school class.

Survivors include one son, John E. Pender of Fort Worth; one daughter, Jenny Bruton of Olney; four sisters, Minnie Ford of Fort Smith, Ark., Viola Kincy of Ponca City, Okla., Irene Williams of Olney, and Josie Upchurch of Itasca; four brothers, Ray Bradshaw and Dick Worth Bradshaw, both of Denton, Marvin Osborne of Graham and Ed Osborne of Loving; four grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
