Mrs. Janie Lee Medlin Lindsay, 76, of 111 Lybrand St. died Tuesday, May 18, 1999, at home. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Great Falls Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Clarence Fouse officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. at Gilead Baptist Church cemetery in Jonesville. A native of Union County, N.C., Mrs. Lindsay was a daughter of the late Milas P. Medlin and Rhettie Love Medlin. She was the widow of William Edward "Ed" Lindsay Sr. She was a retired registered nurse with Dr. H.P. Snead and was former director of the Great Falls Branch of the Chester County Health Department. Mrs. Lindsay was a graduate of Great Falls High School and earned her bachelor's degree in nursing at Greenville School of Nursing. She was a member of Great Falls Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her son, William Edward Lindsay Jr. of Summerville; two brothers, Capt. W. Ray Medlin of Charleston and Wayne Medlin of Belleville, Ill.; and her grandson.
