She obtained nurse's training and worked at the Deaconess Hospital in Grafton before marring John Kubousek on September 20, 1941. They farmed in the Forest River area until retirement in 1974. Her husband, John, passed away on September 30, 1998.
Ann was a strong believer in her faith and was well known in the community for her kindness, generosity, and giving. She was a member of St. Patrick's and Sacred Heart Church in Minto. She was a member of the Altar Society, Catholic Daughters, and the Forest River American Legion Auxiliary. Ann also served as a Hospice Volunteer and loved playing bridge with her many friends.
Ann and her family was especially appreciative of the professional and loving care she received at the Lutheran Sunset Home in Grafton during her final years.
She is survived by sons Marvin (Sandy), Leonard (Lynn), Jack, Dale and daughter Sharon (Joe) Marvin; daughter-inlaw Lynda Kubousek; grandchildren Kirk, Kyle, Charlie and Kristina Kubousek and Kate and Joe Marvin; sisters Evelyn Murphy and Adaline Vinyard and brothers Leo and Wilfred Tupa ; numerous nieces and nephews, and many special friends including Georgene (Kowalski) Robinson and Irene Schanilec.
She was preceded in death by her husband John; son Allen; grandson Scott Skavlem; and sisters Magdalene, Frances and Irene.
