Robert Thomas Campbell, 79, of Luray died Wednesday morning, June 26, at Page Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient one week.
He was born Dec. 11, 1894 in Page County and was a son of the late William and Alice Virginia Cummings Campbell.
Mr. Campbell was a retired farmer and construction worker. He was twice married; his first wife, Etta Salome Campbell died Sept. 3, 1941.
His second wife, the former Mary E. Grimsley, survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Rufus M. Campbell of Martinsburg, W.Va.; Norlas W. Campbell of Luray and Robert Thomas Campbell Jr. of Macon, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. Pete (Cora) Hoak and Mrs. Calvin (Margaret) Bailey, both of Luray; a brother, Clay Campbell of Stanley, a sister, Mrs. Maggie Hall of Occoquan; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted 3 p.m. Friday at the Bradley Funeral Home, Luray by the Rev. O.L. Martin and the Rev. Richard Umberger. Burial will be in Leake's Chapel Cemetery, Luray.
