Abraham W Schilling; His mother passed away at his birth and he was adopted by a German born couple, Phillip and Christena Dulmatch. They did not change his last name though. The 1880 census shows him listed as "adopted son" with widow, Christena Dulmatch living in Miami County, Indiana. Christena and Phillip had no heirs, and she left everything to Abraham in her last will and testament dated April 1879. She passed away in 1884.
In 1901, Abraham married Roberta Whittenberger. They had no children.
