Margie Jane Runion, 83, of Rush County, died Feb. 26, 2010.

Born Aug. 19, 1926 in Union County, she was the daughter of Wilbur and Mary (Hadley) Stanley, both deceased. She married Evan W. Runion in July 1963; he passed away July 26, 1970.

Mrs. Runion worked 23 years as a bookkeeper for the William G. Waggoner Company in Rushville. She spent 16 years with the Indiana State Dairy Association through Purdue University. She worked on the family farm her entire life, along with her other occupations. She was a 1944 graduate of New Salem High School.

Survivors include son, Max Heeb of Rushville; daughters, Kathy (Joseph) Manning of Louisville, Ky. and Megan (Leonard) Hunter of Gosport; grandchildren, Randy Runion, Joel Adams, Scott Moore and Carlie Robertson; and two great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel N. Stanley.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Moster Mortuary in Rushville with Pastor Phil Mitchell officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery.
