Funeral Services To Be Held On Tuesday Afternoon
Ossie K. Brackin, 41, died this morning at 2:20 o'clock at the home in Town Creek after an illness of three and one half months.
Deceased was an employee of TVA and had been working at Wheeler Dam, Guntersville, and several other points in the TVA area. He was born and raised in the Town Creek community and was a member of the machinist AFL, at Knoxillle.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Pluma Edith Brackin; a son, David E.; a daughter, Miss Metha Ola Brackin, Town Creek; four brothers, Tom, Clifford, Richardson, Town Creek, and Hobson, Birmingham; five sisters, Mrs. Ethel Jackson, Town Creek; Mrs. Modine Waldrup, Talladega; Mrs. Alberta North, Warsong, Ind.; Mrs. Orene Lansdale, Town Creek, and Mrs. Louise Evans, Lawrenceburg, and his parents, Mr. and MRs. John S. Brackin, Town Creek.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Blackground cemetery, near Town Creek, with the Rev. D.F. Hixon, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. Interment will follow there. Brown-Service in charge.
