Emil Bolan
NORWAY--Emil H. Bolan, 78, of Norway, died Monday at Anderson Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Bolan was born in Channing on Sept. 25, 1906, a son of the late Frank and Sophia Bolan. They moved to Norway in 1927 and he married the former Elizabeth Weghe, Jan. 15, 1927 in Norway.
He worked for the city of Norway in the water deartement for 29 years, retiring in 1972. He was a member of the Norway Senior Citizens Center and St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Arthur of Muskegon and Robert of Norway; two daughters, Shirley Hughes of Quinnesec and Rosemarie Hotchkiss of Ortonvillle; two brothers, Arvid of Madison and Albin of Iron Mountain; two sisters, Jenny Turnquist of Norway and Ruth Reynolds of Green Bay, Wis.; 17 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today the Miner Funeral Home, where parish prayers will be recited at 7 p.m. Services will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Norway, with Fr. Elmer Bares officiating. Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery.
