Samuel T. Carr, 94, formerly of 338 Green St., Peru died at 4:50 p.m. Feb. 10, 1998, in La Salle Healthcare Center, where he had been a resident for six years.

Graveside services will be at a later date in Peru City Cemetery. Mueler Funeral Home, Peru, is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Nov. 27, 1903, in Equality. He married Alma P. Gaus on May 16, 1925, in Peru.

He retired from Westclox, where he worked for 50 years. He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ and the Westclox Quarter Century Club.

Survivors are two daughters, Marilyn Carr and JoAnn Hundt, both of Peru; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Thelma (William) Denny and Kathleen (Erwin) Woodshank, both of Peru; and nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his wife on May 25, 1995; a daughter, Dolores Kubera; four brothers and five sisters.
