Panagiotis Konstantinos Thanasoulas ( Athens ) was born in Bartzeli ( now Mironia ) Greece in Elis province in 1890.
He came to America aboard the ss Eugenia and went to Chicago where he lived until 1937 when he and his family moved back to Harvey, Illinois. He had been a restaurant owner and an Illinois Game Warden and ended up in Insurance with Home Life and in real estate. He resided at 240 East 150th Street in Harvey and had a summer home on Peach Street in Grand Mere Resort, Stevensville, MI and later Long Beach, Indiana at 2323 Lake Shore Drive. He married Glykeria Vafakos in Illinois in 1916. They had four children: Konstantine born 1917, Electra 1918, Meryanthy 1919 and Eleni ( Helen ) 1920. Konstantine died from rheumatic fever in 1930. Electra married Glenn Reiber and had a daughter, Alexandra ( Sandy ); divorced Glenn, married Bob Harrington, a Chicago cop, divorced him and finally in 1957 married John Carden Rush, a finger-print specialist with the Chicago Police Department. Meryanthy married Gus Melonas ( Miller ) on June 23, 1940 at St Spyridon Greek Orthodox church in Pullman (Roseland ) Chicago and had four children: Panagiotis ( Peter ) born 1941; Irene 1943, Glykeria (Candace ) 1950 and Dean ( Konstantinos ) 1955.
Helen married Alexander Carruthers at the same church in 1949 and had Jimmy born 1950 and Jeanie Marie born 1956. Peter K Athens lost Glykeria to cancer in 1964 and a year later married Stella Bouramas. Stella passed away after Peter died.
