Aase married Ellen Gulbrandsen Lundsmøgren on April 12, 1891.
They were the parents of six children: Tilda, Gilmer Bennett, Mabel Georgina, Ella, Alma Johanne, and Edwin Theodor.
Mrs. Elling Gulbranson 1858-1938
Mrs. Elling Gulbranson, 79 years of age and a resident of Holst Township since 1903, succumbed to a heart condition late last week. She had been in poor health for the last three years, and on April 3rd fell and injured her hip. She had been confined to her bed since.
The funeral service was held on Wednesday afternoon at the Norway Lake Church, with Rev. Edw. Livingston in charge of the service. Interment was made in the church cemetery. The Peterson Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gulbranson was born September 29, 1858 in Norway, and came to the United States when 24 years of age, and to Holst Township in 1903. She was united in marriage at Fosston, and Mr. Gulbranson passed away May 30, 1936. She was also preceded in death by one son and two daughters.
Left to mourn is a son Gilmer, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Emma Benson of Leonard, Mrs. Tillie Rankin of Montana, Mrs. Mable Crosby of Rolla, North Dakota, 14 grandchildren, and one sister in Alberta, Canada.
