Died, at his residence in Downs, of consumption, on the 12th inst., Frank Lewis, aged 35 years. Mr. Lewis was one of our best citizens. He was a member of the cornet band of Downs, and the esteem by which he was held by the band was shown by the band turning out in full uniform to attend his funeral, which was held in the church at Downs, the Rev. Z. T. Hatfleld officiating. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in Downs. The business men acted as pall-bearers. Mr. Lewis will be sadly missed in this community. He was the noblest work of God, an honest man. He leaves a wife and three children, two boys and a girl, to mourn for one who will never return. My He who holds our destiny in his hand take care of the bereaved ones.
