MARION - Chill, Helen M., 83, passed away on February 23, 2010, at St. Luke Hospital in Marion. She was born on September 29, 1926, in rural Marion County, the daughter of Fred and Lydia (Vogel) Stenzel. She was a 1943 graduate of Marion High School and attended Business classes at KSTC, Emporia. She was a bookkeeper working at the Marion Courthouse and later with Ludwig Trucking. On August 11, 1946, she married Raymond Pritz, he preceded her in death in 1971. To this marriage one son: Geoffrey Lin Pritz was born, he died of pneumonia at the age of 4 months. She later married Harry Chill on April 30, 1977, he passed away on December 26, 1982. She was also preceded by her siblings: Ed Stenzel, Charlie Stenzel, and Lenore Zimmerman. Helen is survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation with family present today (Friday) from 6:30-8 p.m., at Zeiner Funeral Home in Marion. Funeral service on Saturday, February 27, 2010, at 10:30 a.m., at the Marion Christian Church. Interment in the Marion Cemetery. Memorial Funds have been established for the St. Luke Foundation or the Marion Christian Church in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm Street, Marion, KS, 66861.
