Emily Lucille Ripka was the daughter of Frank Joseph Ripka and Matilda L. Simon Ripka. She married Gordon Henry Hautau and had two sons, one natural and one adopted by choice.

(One source says she died 6 Jan and another says 15 Feb, searching for confirmation.....). Then her kin sent me:
"The American Journal of Public Health, June 1962, page 1065 (pg 10 in the doc) that lists deaths and has hers as February 16."

Also, The American Journal of Public Health, Dec. 1937 – on page 1323, says Emily L. Ripka was appointed to the Bureau of Child Hygiene and Public Health in Michigan.

American Journal of Public Health, Dec, 1937, Vol. 27, page 1323 in News From The Field says: Dr. Emily L. Ripka has been appointed field physician for the Bureau of Child Hygiene and Public Health Nursing of the Michigan State Department of Health, succeeding Dr. Vida Gordon, who resigned to accept a position with the University of Michigan Health Service.

American Journal of Public Health, June 1962, page 1065, Vol. 52, No. 6, News From The Field says: Emily R. Hautau, M.D., M.P.H., Maternal and Child Health Division, Department of Health, East Lansing, Mich., on February 16 (Maternal and Child Health Section).
