J. E. Nunnelley, 82, prominent retired farmer, died at 12:15 p.m. Sunday, June 21, in St. Joseph's Hospital. He had been in failing health four years. From the time he came here in 1917 until about 18 months ago, be and his family lived on their farm a mile and a half south of Wellington. Mr. Nunnelley was a devoted member of the Church of Christ and was active in its work. Born Feb. 8, 1888, in Clay County, Mo., John Ellis Nunnelley lived there until he was a young man, when he came to Burkburnett. He was married there to Miss Edna Moore on Oct. 16, 1916. Surviving Mr. Nunnelley are his wife, Mrs. Edna Nunnelley of Wellington; a son and two daughters, Shelton Nunnelley of Wellington, Mrs. Henry Seidmeyer of Lubbock, and Mrs. R. B. Uselton of Shamrock. Other survivors are a brother, C. B. Nunnelley of Wellington, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
