Mrs. Ola C. Johnson, 91, died Monday afternoon, December 9, 1985 in Northwest Texas Hospital, Amarillo. She had been living in Amarillo with a son, Tim Baird, for four years. Mrs. Johnson was born October 20, 1894, in Avery, Red River County, Texas. Her father was George Childress and her mother was Elizabeth Cole Childress. She came with her family to Dodson in 1925. She lived there until they moved to the Quail community, where they remained for several years, then moved into Wellington in 1956. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She married W.E. Johnson May 20, 1942 in Hollis. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jake Baird, in 1941. Mr. Johnson died Oct. 3, 1967. Survivors are her son, Tim Baird of Amarillo; a sister, Bessie Ellison of Azle; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
