Funeral services for L.C. Deering, 73, retired farmer of the Loving community were held at the Loving Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Hubert Foust, pastor and Rev. Dallas Lee, of Graham.
Deering was a registered cattle breeder pioneer of Loving and Young County. He moved to Texas with his parents in 1880 and settled in Hood County, near Granbury. He lived in Indian Territory for a years after his marriage. The couple came to Young County in 1910 settling near Loving.
Deering was a faithful member of the Baptist Church having joined the church in 1926.
Survivors: his wife; two sisters - Mrs. Montie Neve and Mrs. Maggie Watson; one brother - J.L. Deering; numerous nieces and nephews.
