Clyde Williams Mainer, third child of Clyde and Maggie Mainer, was born in Lovelady, December 14, 1908. He got his degree from TX A & M and married Allene Lucas of Waco on October 6, 1934. He was a Major in World War II, later served in the Pacific, and was discharged in June 1946 as a Lt. Colonel. They have one daughter, Alice Jean Mainer, born September 17, 1936 who graduated from Baylor University. She married Forest Garlough and they have one son, Mike Garlough.
