John J. Theis, 84, of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2000 at Jennings Terrace. He was born September 21, 1915 in Aurora.
Mr. Theis was employed by Equipto for 34 years until his retirement in 1984. He was a graduate of St. Nicholas School and Marmion Academy. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #736, the Phoenix Club, the Marmion Alumni Club and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille B. (Zmuda) Theis; one son, James E. (Tamara) Theis; one daughter, Laura Theis; two grandsons, Nathaniel and Michael Theis; one brother, Carl Theis, all of Aurora; one niece and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas A. & Anna (Wittry) Theis.
John's family extends their sincere thanks to Fox Valley Hospice, the nursing staff at Jennings Terrace and to Dr. John Palmer for all of the loving care they provided.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 15, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at The Daleiden Lake St. Mortuary. Fr. Jerome L. Leake will officiate with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 14, from 3 to 7 p.m. at The Daleiden Lake St. Mortuary, at 220 N. Lake St., Aurora. 630/898-8634.
