Services for O.V. Collins, 92, of Kopperl will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2009, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Rev. Larry York will officiate. Burial will be in Kimball Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.

O. V. Collins passed away Sunday, June 21, 2009, in Cleburne. He was born Feb. 27, 1917, in Bosque County to Samuel Lewis and Pearly Hanna Collins. He married Dorris Faye Stafford on Feb. 11, 1949, in Cleburne.

Mr. Collins was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II and a stationary engineer for Santa Fe Railroad. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Rio Vista.O. V. Collins is survived by his sons, William Gregory Collins of Groesbeck and Bobby Dan Collins and wife, Kathy, of Kopperl; daughter, Judy Faye Barnett and husband, Dale, of Cleburne; seven grandchildren, Lisa Wilson, John Carlock, Emily Graham, Cristin Valderas, Corrin Collins, Chance Collins and Taylor Collins; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorris Faye Collins; two brothers, Calvin Collins and L.O. Collins; and two sisters, Beatrice Osborne and Oleta Bachofer.
