Ethel M. Arenz, age 92, a former longtime Janesville resident, passed away Sunday morning, Feb. 21, 2010 at Canterbury-On-The-Lake in Waterford, MI. She was born in Janesville on Aug. 14, 1917, daughter of the late Otto & Emma (Ullius) Alwin. She was a graduate of Janesville High School. She was married to Charles E. Arenz. He preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 1985. Ethel was a longtime member of First Congregational Church, UCC. She very much enjoyed spending time with her friends while taking bus trips, and also enjoyed playing bingo when she had the chance! She loved spending time with her family, and was especially proud of her three grandsons. She is survived by her son and his wife; her brother; her sister; her two sisters-in-law; her three beloved grandsons; and by nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles David Arenz; three brothers: Harold, Frank, and Edgar; and by three sisters: Esther, Virginia, and Clara. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at MILTON LAWNS MEMORIAL PARK CHAPEL, with Rev. Wesley Bixby officiating. Entombment will take place in Milton Lawns Memorial Park Mausoleum. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 10 until 11 a.m. at the CHAPEL. WHITCOMB-LYNCH-ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOME, JANESVILLE.
