J.D. Adams, 81, longtime resident of Newcastle died at his home Wednesday of last week and funeral conducted at the Newcastle Baptist church last Thursday. Last rites were spoken by Rev. John Barrett and Rev. I.W. Lawrence.
Adams lived in Newcastle since 1916, when he was a coal miner before the closing of the coal mines in Newcastle. After the mines closed, he became a farmer.
Surviving: his widow; 2 daughters - Miss Olar Adams and Miss Hazel Adams; sister - Mrs. Martha Ellen Morgan
