Albert Abel

Albert Abel, 75, 994 E. 37th St., died last night at 9 o'clock at St. John's Hospital. He had been ill for one week.
Mr. Abel was born Jan. 1, 1884 in Meadville, Pa., a son of Herman and Elizabeth Konle Abel. He moved to Anderson as a child, and had spent his entire life here. He attended St. Mary's School in Anderson.
Recently, Mr. Abel had received recognition as a 50 year member of the Eagles Lodge. He also was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and had been employed at Frankie's Cocktail Lounge.
Survivors include: the wife, Audrey; one son, Jack, Wichita Falls, Texas; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Alma Hickey, Miss Mary Abel, and Mrs. Elizabeth Hickey, all of Detroit, Mich.
The body was taken to the Brown and Butz Funeral Home, where final arrangements are pending.

Services for Albert Abel, 75, of 904 E. 27th St., who died Tuesday evening, will be conducted at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Ambrose Catholic Church by the Rev. Thomas Heifman. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends will be received after 2 p.m. Thursday in the Brown and Butz Funeral Home. The Holy Name Society will recite the Rosary in the funeral home at 8 p.m. Thursday.

Albert Abel

Albert Abel, 75, 904 E. 27th St., died last evening at 9 p.m. at St. John's Hospital after an illness of one week.

Mr. Abel was born Jan. 1, 1884, in Meadville, Pa., a son of Herman and Elizabeth Konle Abel. He came to Anderson as a child and has lived most of his life here. He attended St. Mary's School. Recently he had received recognition as a 50 year member of the Eagles Lodge. He was also a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and was the owner of Frankie's Cocktail Lounge.

Surviving are the widow, Audrey; one son, Jack, Wichita Falls, Tex.; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Hickey, Miss Mary Abel, and Mrs. Elizabeth Hickey, all of Detroit, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.

The body was taken to the Brown and Butz Funeral Home where friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday. Services will be conducted Friday at 9 a.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church by the Rev. Fr. Thomas Heilman. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. The Holy Name Society will meet at the funeral home to recite Rosary at 8 p.m. Thursday.

He also had a daughter Lillian Abel b Sept 11 1907 who became a nun.
